Leave the mental load at the port.
RECONNECT ON THE OCEAN. An inclusive, family-friendly floating sanctuary of art, yoga, and profound rest for all genders.
August 28th – 31st, 2026 | Departing Brisbane on the Carnival Encounter
Are you running on empty?
Between the cooking, the cleaning, the school runs, the appointments, and the mental load of managing a household—not to mention the extra layers of advocacy and care if you’re a parent of a child with additional needs—when was the last time you actually heard your own thoughts?
Welcome to ATAAHUA Art: Reconnect on the Ocean.
We created the RECONNECT ON THE OCEAN Retreat for parents, caregivers, and individuals of all genders who just need to exhale.
For 3 nights, you do not have to make a single decision. You don't have to cook, and you definitely don't have to wash the dishes. Step aboard our floating sanctuary to regulate your nervous system. While the kids are having the time of their lives at the onboard youth clubs or our dedicated kids' art workshops, you can finally enjoy uninterrupted rest, gentle movement, and a supportive community.

Creative Reset at Sea
A 4-day wellbeing cruise retreat for NDIS support workers
You care for others. This is your turn to be cared for.
Why this exists
Who takes care of the people who care for everyone else?
Support workers spend their days caring for other people. Creative Reset at Sea was created to give them space to pause, breathe, create and reconnect with themselves.
This is not another workplace training event. It is a genuine opportunity to rest, experience creativity without pressure, and connect with people who understand the emotional demands of support work.
Who it is for
Adult NDIS Support Workers of all genders, plus team leaders, coordinators, allied health staff and disability-provider business owners.
Why you are invited
Care work carries emotional load, complex situations and long shifts. This retreat creates genuine space to reset without performance pressure.
What it is not
It is not workplace training, therapy, respite or an NDIS participant activity. It cannot be claimed from an NDIS participant plan.
What is included
Four unhurried nights to rest, create and connect.
Mosaic lamp art, watercolour, collaborative abstract art and other guided creative experiences. No art experience needed.
Breathwork, reflection, affirmations and calm space to pause and settle.
Relaxed opportunities to meet people who understand the realities of disability support.
Spend your Whitsundays day exploring, relaxing by the water or enjoying local sightseeing.
A basic Auslan experience is planned. Confirmed facilitator details will be published before the retreat.
A fun, colourful and completely optional final-night celebration.
Four nights’ cruise accommodation, main onboard dining and access to included ship facilities and entertainment.
A thoughtful retreat welcome from Ataahua Art, with final inclusions confirmed before sailing.
